IAM Annual Meeting & Expo Frequently Asked Questions

IAM Safe

  • Q: I would like to register for the Virtual portion of the meeting, but might change to the In-Person registration, if I can travel. How does this work with payment?

A: The price of your registration depends on the day that you first register for the conference.  Those that register for the Virtual meeting prior to the Early-bird deadline, you  and later switch to in in-person, will be charged the In-Person Early Bird Fee (minus any fees already paid for the virtual conference).  Attendees that register for the Virtual conference at the Regular rate but then switch to the In-Person, will be charged the In-Person Regular rate (minus any fees already paid for the virtual conference).

  • Q: What if I purchased a In-Person Registration but can no longer attend?

A:  IAM is aware of the need for continued caution and concern for safety regarding COVID-19. We understand that health and safety, and their impact on meeting attendance, are of concern to our members. IAM is looking forward with confidence to the full resumption of business, both for our global membership and for the association, and we are committed to holding our 59th Annual Meeting & Expo on schedule, from October 13–16, 2021 in Orlando, Florida.

Please note that due to ongoing concern regarding the coronavirus, IAM will not charge a cancellation fee if you later decide not to attend our in-person event based on concerns around your health or travel. IAM will provide a full refund minus the cost of banking fees or credit card transaction fees.

  • Q: What are the COVID-19 requirements to enter the United States?

A: Check out the Hotel/Travel page to access all the updated information from the CDC and Department of State.

  • Q: What safety precautions is IAM taking to mitigate COVID-19?

A: Please make sure to check out our IAM Safety Policy to inform yourself on all the steps IAM has in place.

  • Q: What can you expect at the IAM 59th Annual Meeting & Expo?

A: IAM is working to plan an outstanding conference for all attendees, both in-person and virtual. For those attending the Orlando Conference, the Annual Meeting will combine four days of in-person meetings with additional virtual content available for all registrants. For those who cannot or do not want to attend the conference in Orlando, rest assured that the IAM Virtual Conference experience will have rich learning experiences and networking opportunities to connect with onsite and virtual attendees alike.

  • Q: What platform will IAM use?

A: IAM will utilize the Swapcard to bring both the virtual and in-person experience to our members.  Be sure to download the app in July 2021 as this will house all the information you need for the Annual Meeting and Expo.

  • Q: What is the overall schedule for the in-person and virtual meeting?

A: Check the Agenda on the conference website for speakers and sessions are they are announced.

  • Q: What will be live streamed virtually?

A: More to come, stay tuned.
