Discounted hotel rooms are available upon registering for the 62nd Annual Meeting & Expo.  Once you have registered, you will receive in your confirmation information on how to secure your room. The last day to receive the discounted rate for all hotels is Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Only IAM registered attendees can book within the conference’s room block. You will receive the hotel reservation link after completing your registration.

The host hotel is the only authorized hotel providing guest room accommodations for the 2024 IAM Annual Meeting & Expo in Las Vegas, NV.

If you receive solicitations from any other vendors identifying themselves as the official IAM housing representative or partner, they are NOT authorized to sell guest rooms for the event. Please contact the IAM Registration office at +1 (202) 624-1740 immediately.

How Hotel Poaching Scams Work

Most poaching agencies do not have a contract with any hotels for room blocks. They will contact a housing wholesaler, such as Expedia, Priceline, etc. to see if rooms are available that they can mark up and sell to unsuspecting guests.

Hotel poachers will claim to be an IAM “partner” or the “official housing company” and will sometimes ask that your room be paid in full, up front. Room poachers often don’t deliver on promises to attendees. When guests arrive, the reservations are often non-existent, or the hotels are far from the event location. Sometimes, hefty cancellation charges are billed to your credit card. Poachers often represent themselves as being affiliated with the expo or conference by illegally using trademarked logos.

How to Avoid Hotel Poachers

  • IAM is the only authorized resource that provides attendees hotel reservation information for conference hotels.
  • Trust your instincts and old adage: If it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
  • If you receive an unsolicited call or email from any company that is not IAM, please obtain the name of the company and contact us immediately.

Please note: If a room is booked outside of the official IAM conference room block, we are unable to help. If you are unsure whether something is legitimate, please contact the IAM Registration office at +1 (202) 624-1740 or email iam@mmsmeetings.com  immediately before providing your personal, company or credit card information.
