Getting to San Diego

Plan Your Trip

10 Minutes from the Airport

The Manchester Grand Hyatt sits about three miles from San Diego International — Hyatt estimates the drive at roughly ten minutes, though allow extra during heavier traffic.

For most attendees arriving with luggage, rideshare or a taxi is the simplest way to cover it.

Getting from the airport to the hotel

Rideshare and taxis are available from both terminals. Public transport is there if you'd prefer a lower-cost option.

Uber & Lyft

Easiest option

Rideshare is likely the easiest option for most attendees. Both Uber and Lyft are authorised to pick up passengers at SAN.

Terminal 1

Follow the signs from baggage claim and cross to the designated pickup area.

Terminal 2

Cross from baggage claim to the Transportation Plaza. Rideshare pickup is in the second lane.

SAN is under construction. Work continues through 2028, so pickup points can move. Check the airport's ground transportation page before you land.

Taxi

Taxis are available from both terminals. Follow the airport's Ground Transportation signs to the designated taxi areas.

No booking needed — there's a rank at each terminal.

Public transport

A lower-cost route into downtown. MTS Route 992 runs from both terminals, roughly every 15 minutes.

Santa Fe Depot
0.5 mi from hotel
Seaport Village Trolley
Across the street

The Trolley's Green Line stops directly outside the hotel, and Santa Fe Depot connects with Amtrak and the COASTER.

Fares and times change. Confirm with MTS before you travel.

Driving & parking

Valet and self-parking are available in the hotel's on-site garage, with hourly and overnight rates.

Street parking downtown is metered, time-limited, and actively enforced — not practical for a multi-day stay.

Once you're here

You won't need a car. The hotel is on the waterfront with the Trolley across the street and most of downtown within walking distance.

The Green Line connects Old Town, Mission Valley, and Fashion Valley.

On foot

Most of downtown

Seaport Village is next door, the Convention Center about seven minutes, and the Gaslamp Quarter roughly ten.

In the lobby

Car rental desk

There's a rental desk in the hotel lobby if you're planning a day trip up the coast or out to the desert.
